Good fish are starting to get active. Started out at 5am to get bait in Caney creek cove after 3 nets had 200 shad. Started fishing at 6:30 in front of Mac Creek in 32 feet of water. Stripper moved in and it was game on. Fishing rods were going down everywhere. Caught our limit of 17 to 20 inch fish without moving.

Windy again today. Started fishing with shad at Mac Creek but only catching small striper. Moved to 37 feet of water in front of cross point. It took a few minutes for fish to start hitting but when they did they were nice 18 inch fish. The rest of the day was great!

I think I am in the movie Groundhog Day. Every day I fish wind is 30 mph +. One day out of the South the next 30+ out of the North. My body is taking a beating but we are catching fish. Set my first anchor in 38 feet of water out from cross point, the screen lit up with striper (Bait fishing using shad)all the poles went down. Game on or I thought, Then the wind hit fish moved on. Set my second anchor off oil well point and caught the balance of our fish there. Not fast but steady.

Wind blowing at 30+ made it almost impossible to find a good area where the striper were holding. Drifted shad in front of Rock and Sand Creek. Not a great day but average.

Birds are working between Caney Creek and Rock Creek fish are moving around a lot. Just follow the birds there is fish surfacing and the birds are diving on them. Drifting through them with bait works or casting sassy shad will get you fish.

Bait was tough this morning after two hours was able to get enough to go fishing. Caught all our fish on ledge at North island in 38 feet of water. Striper stopped hitting bait at 10am and never started hitting again we ended the trip with 16 striper after trying for 3 hours to get them to fire back up with on success.

Fishing is still a little slow but getting better as the water temp goes up. Started out drifting bait in Sand creek pulled six striper then moved to North island ledge in 37 ft water (five turns off bottom) Caught the balance of our fish there. Not a great day but fair.

Fishing is showing sings of picking up, each day we are catching more fish. Not limits but more. The customer are having a great time even with slower fishing. Have been moving around to all areas of lake and catching one or two at about every stop. Fish are scattered no pattern yet.

Yesterday was a great day for fishing. Caught some nice fish and had a great time doing it. We had a Lawyer, a politician, and a computer programmer on the boat and the fish were nice sized. We started late in the day and ended our fishing trip with a splash. Polar Plunge for the least fish caught.
